(to see what it takes to put one year's part on a different year car) Pictures of the damaged fenders and hoods show the major problems only. They still may have the typical minor dings, scrapes etc that ALL of the new Nissan sheet metal can have. All fenders can have a varying degree of creasing vertically near the rear edge where the inside fender brace from another fender rested when Nissan had these pilled high in storage. Also common is to have the point at rear of the fender bent over. They can also be damaged to a degree where they bend down at the bottom where they wrap under the car. ALL fenders can have this. I don't know why they weren't more careful with these fragile (when off the car) parts. Remember that any NEW fender is not ready to primer and paint; they are manufactured out of multiple pieces and these joints have to be finished. Also keep in mind that the headlight scoops can vary in shape as do the fenders somewhat. These parts need to be fit together BEFORE painting. |
