Type "A" Steering Box Info & Parts
	Type A Worm and Peg Steering Boxes and Type A Idler Box were used up to mid 1969, to approximately SPL311-24999 and SRL311-08999. We suggest checking as some cars have been altered. Type A Steering U-Joint has 15/16" bearing caps, oil filler plug has a head about 1 1/8" and a thread diameter of about 13/16. Type A Idler Box takes a rubber cap that is about 4 inches in diameter

Type "B" Steering Box Info & Parts
	Type B recirculating ball steering boxes were installed mid 69 beginning at approximately SPL311-25000 and SRL311-09000. We suggest checking as some cars have been altered. Type B Steering U-Joint bearing caps are about 5/8, oil filler plug has a head about 19mm (3/4"), and a thread diameter of about 5/8. Type B Idler Boxes take a cap that is about 2 inches in diameter.

Kits and Packages

	Gasket Kits for boxes include seals, gasket and o-rings. Minor Rebuild Kits for boxes include bearings, (or)bushings, gaskets, seals, o-rings and plug. We have some of the adjustment shims, those can be ordered separately as needed. Type A Kit does not include needle bearings for pivot ball, order separately if required. Major Rebuild Kits for boxes include both gear shafts so all mating parts are included. Bearings, (or) bushings, gaskets, seals, o-rings and plug are also included. We have some of the adjustment shims, those can be ordered separately as needed.
