If you are planning a carb rebuild, it isn't complete without these. You may be able to "fix" your old carbs, a true rebuild brings ALL the parts back to serviceable condition. Forty years of pivoting takes it's toll on these. Having springs that are two stiff amplifies the wear. Binding linkage, binding throttle plates, cable problems or other situations sometimes result in the use of heavier springs out of frustration. They AREN'T necessary! These have sometimes been a difficult part for us to obtain. |
