Not
all the shims are used in all transmissions. As parts get
worn you may also have to improvise some thinner shims to
take up the slack on the ends of part #328-49 and between
the forked ends of part #328-66. By doing so you can do
wonders reducing the slop that you feel at the end of that
long shifter. The fiber bushing part #328-78 is shown
already installed in Bracket #328-66. It is especially
important to use the correct washers on either side of the
two rubber bushings #328-74. If they are not in good
condition; squeezed properly with proper size washers; they
will contribute to the general mushy feeling of so many
tired 1600 shifters. The 328-50, 51, 52 are not used on some
transmissions. See the info
