JANUARY 2015: I have put this page back up as come hell or high water (and actually we do have high water right now...) I am going to grab these one by one and get them to someone who will do something with them...THIS YEAR. I don't know if I am going to email everyone who ever asked about them or auction them off or take offers or what. I'm not looking to make a killing on them I'd be totally happy to get what I have in them and 4% interest since day one! The value of these; at least 2 of them is in the correct vin'd frame. They all look like parts cars which they were; or WORSE. They have lots of rust which you will see from pics. The thing to do would find a 67.5 1600 in great condition and combine them. There is no difference in the bodies; although the 67 2000 had holes for a special trim around the rear license plate the panels never came in both styles; just the "1600" style. Shift boot hole is not special to the 2000 they were just made big to fit both transmissions. I can't imagine bringing one of these back without another car as the "to-be" jewel. I've seen people do it but it would be soooo much work. I have seen lots of 67.5 1600's brought to fantastic levels; all the 67 2000 stuff but they can never be sold that way and never have that value because of the danged wrong vin. This would solve the situation (if you don't mind the hour or two to SWAP A FRAME. (HA HA). I'm also not sure what parts are going to go with these; I don't off the top of my head remember what is there; (they are a long way from me). I may offer them with or without some of the parts. I may sell them all at once or one at a time. As always your comments, complaints and condolences are WELCOME! Dann 2015 |

Geez
the time is flying by. I still have not been able to get
away from more pressing tasks to get these cars out. I have
left this page up as sooner or later I will part with these
lovely (not) old gals. I have told EVERYONE the same thing
on these cars; that I don't know when I'll have time to get
them out. If you keep an email address on file you'll be
notified. As they say; "Life's a Funny Old Dog". As with the
other forty promises I've made to myself, wife and family;
you never know when I will decide to change course and just
get them out of here. Thanks for your interest. Dann Our extended circle of roadster friends/maniacs have accumulated 3 forlorn low windshield 2000's. At one time we thought the company would purchase, restore and sell them, but we've never had the time. Since I have no time to play with them we will try to find the cars good homes. These are total junk hulks, but are authentic 67 2000's, not converted 1600's. (Frames are stamped SRL311-00xxx) not SPL311-11xxx, 12xxx etc and that's where the value is. Please email for further information, one of these days I'll get them pulled out, photographed and put up here so they can be transfered to your hospital... |
