65-70 Datsun Roadster Softop Teardrops

These are mounted on the rear deck. They hold the flat bar that is sewn in to the rear of the softop material.

These lead a very hard life; being carelessly hammered by the softop bar repeatedly by careless owners. The studs that secure them are very small and prone to breakage during removal.

Best thing is they don't show when a top or tonneau, or top boot is on. They can of course be drilled and tapped for new studs or bolts but it can be a tedious process best left to a machine shop or possibly even a jeweler!

Chrome is very difficult to photograph. We try to make the chips, gouges and scrapes as evident as possible. There may be dark areas in the bottom of the pictures that are just reflections.

Being "pot-metal" these pit and chip; and the tips can be broken. They are priced accordingly.

Unless specified otherwise, pieces shown have two useable studs; i.e. a nut (if present or not) will thread on them OK. I cannot guarantee that the studs will not break when you tighten them; these; and new ones are DELICATE. There is no warranty for this.

If you are looking for one with a broken stud to repair; i.e. drill and tap or maybe stud is just unscrewed and gone; please email.

Any piece with a broken stud is $10; with an unscrewed missing stud is $15. Add $10 to either price if youwant one that is better than usual (no big gouges or crater pits)
