This 68-70 top frame is in good shape compared to most in use today. Most; due to improper erection of the top and other reasons; have a collapsed front bow. Pic A shows a NICE bow surface, no ever-present dent or ripples indicating imminent collapse. Only the first trace of fatigue is seen (Pic F); a tiny crack; and only seen after popping off trim; bow feels structurally sound. Get it welded and away you go. When the bows get much worse; it is recommended you have them cut open and a brace installed. Typical surface rust on rear bows (Pic D). Top frame INCLUDES the three top latches; including the spacer whose absence also serves to damage the front bow. The latches will need to be replated to look nice (Pic E). The front bow has some surface rust on the ends; this is NOTHING compared to what most have. This is not a structural issue. Joints all move as they should. Sold with or without the top latches. DU97-50 is WITH; DU97-51 is WITHOUT the latches. Comes with a nice hand cut softop retaining strip that attaches to bow. Order a used rear bar separately. (REAR BAR sews into rear of top to slide under teardrop clips on rear deck...has typical rust pits but it is hidden in use. $63 with purchase of top frame.)
