Another
good candidate for oven straightening to reduce metal
losses due to milling the surfaces flat. This head is
unusual as the top crown exceeds the bottom warpage by a
substantial amount.
Head
has about .042" crown to take out of top middle. Cutter
should be stopped before it reaches the ends of the head;
so the area under the end towers are only skimmed.
Bottom
appears to have about .024" warp.
Average
thickness at front of head is 4.529"
Average
thickness of rear of head is 4.529"
Subtract
$100 if you do not need valves, springs and rocker
pivots.
