This
is a "new" Nissan wheel.
Well
NOS to be correct ("new-old-stock"). Although it has not
been installed in a car or exposed to much air or light, it
is still 35+years old.
Fits
all cars 68-70.
Some
people believe that parts that are sold by a vehicle
manufacturer include those items that have a non operational
defect or blemish, parts that may have been pulled off the
vehicle production line or the parts manufacturer's
production line. This theory may or may not be correct but
about 50% of the new wheels we have seen, both long ago and
with the last shipment we received tend to have defects in
them. Maybe it is the march of time that makes plastic parts
deteriorate. This wheel is no exception so we have taken
some pictures to give a better idea of what exists. This is
the last wheel we have or will have.
This
wheel does not come with the silver ring on the horn button.
Over time the glue gives up that originally bound it to the
wheel and they fall off. I have also noticed over time that
the diameter of the horn button increases slightly, or the
ring shrinks a little, which also contributes to them
falling away.
There
are 3 tiny splits in the button, one is shown by the
airrow.
There
are surface blemishes as shown by the last two
pictures.
