The
upper balljoints that were used before 1968 came with the
seal shown on the left. Many joints have already been
replaced with the newer style so check yours before
ordering. It's also possible your 68-70 could have the older
style boots.

The
lower balljoints that were used before 1968 came with a seal
that included a rubber piece that looked like a cereal bowl
and a metal cup that fit inside it. These are long gone,
most people just make do with the type B Boot. It seems to
work OK.
On the
right is the standard lower BJ boot. On the left is one we
use when the original style is unavailable, it is from
another Nissan. It is built to look like the 401-05 boot
does after it's installed (compressed).We have some left and
they are more economical so we are posting them as well.
