DAY-NIGHT
NOTE,
MIRROR 963-13 BLACK and 963-20 GRAY:
The "day-night" mirrors, a factory option from 67
1/2-70 were not made like current mirrors, they were
not sealed. They may need the external glass and the
inside mirror wiped with a lint-free glass prior to
installation. Depending on the climate conditions
where you live this may need to be done now and then.
The last time I had one of these in one of my
roadsters I found that wiping it with an "anti-fog"
rag I had for my motorcycle helmet visor was a long
lasting solution. The inside mirror is accessible by
removing the four rim screws. These tiny fine thread
screws should not be tightened any more then necessary
to hold the mirror together.
