The left and right side hinges are mirror images of each other. This is because the deck lid is sloped in the opposite direction on the other side of the car. You can use the much cheaper and more available left hinge on the right if you make an angled spacer to sit under the hinge. You'll also have to make a spacer to lift the forward part of the hinge up a bit. I saw one person do this in metal and then chrome both the spacer and the hinge, have also seen it done in rubber, handcut by freezing the rubber and then using an electric hacksaw. Where there's a will there's a way! |
